Mommy Made It is a science-led children’s care brand founded by a geneticist mother who refused to compromise on what touches her child’s skin.
Rooted in the understanding that children’s skin is more delicate, more absorbent, and far more vulnerable than we often assume, Mommy Made It redefines what “safe” truly means.
Every formulation is intentionally minimal, meticulously selected, and free from unnecessary or questionable ingredients; no SLS, no parabens, no synthetic fragrances. Instead, we take inspiration from edible-grade components and evidence-based research to create products that are not only gentle, but biologically considerate.
But Mommy Made It is more than just a product line.
It is a movement toward conscious parenting, informed choices, and a new standard in children’s care where transparency replaces marketing noise, and science meets motherhood.
Because when it comes to our children, “good enough” is never enough.
Ece Akhan is a molecular biologist and geneticist, and the founder of Mommy Made It, a science-led children’s care brand. She completed her undergraduate and PhD studies at Bilkent University Molecular Biology and Genetics and contributed to bioinformatics projects at METU. She currently works at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine within the Rare Diseases Biobank. Her research focuses on cancer biology, stem cells, biobanking, and rare diseases. She has led an EU Horizon 2020 project and is currently supported by a TÜBİTAK Career Development Grant. Through Mommy Made It, she brings scientific rigor into children’s skincare, developing minimal, evidence-based formulations.
