Gi Design Co. is an independent design brand based in Istanbul, creating timeless, customizable everyday pieces that challenge repetitive consumption. Founded with the motto “break the cycle!”, Gi rethinks the relationship between people and products by offering designs that are not simply worn, but lived with, transformed, and used as a form of self-expression.
At the core of the brand is maGic, Gi’s interchangeable design system, which allows products to evolve over time instead of being replaced. This approach encourages a more conscious and personal form of ownership—one that values durability, adaptability, and emotional connection over disposability.
Gi brings together a bold visual language, architectural forms, and thoughtful material choices to create pieces that are both functional and expressive. Beyond product design, the brand also builds its own creative universe through storytelling, animation, and content, turning each collection into a broader cultural and visual narrative.
Rabia Gençer is a designer, creative director, and entrepreneur working across storytelling, cultural positioning, and brand building. She studied art and design at Anadolu University and Dumlupınar University. Between 2016 and 2019, she served as the art director of Kafka Okur magazine and founded and curated “Pardon Konu Neydi?”, an exhibition bringing together 23 artists. In 2019, she spoke at TEDxYouth@Akal. The same year, she founded Gi Design Co. and continues to support brands through Studio Gi with creative direction, brand communication, and content development.
