Our company, Econova Packaging, was founded by two partners with the purpose of producing eco-friendly disposable bags (grocery and market bags, garment covers, disposable packaging) and single-use products (forks, knives, cups, plates). Expanding its product range, the company also added paper-based items such as garment carry bags, gift envelopes and boxes, which it manufactures and supplies on a wholesale basis.
As the second partner is active in a different sector and has not been involved in the management and development of the company, the partnership has effectively ended in practice although the official transfer of shares has not yet been completed.
The General Manager and founder of the company, Meryem Tokgöz Kaya, was born in Adana in 1967. She completed her primary education at Adana Osmangazi Primary School, her secondary education at Istanbul Nişantaşı Girls’ High School, and graduated as the top student of her class from Beyoğlu Girls’ Vocational High School in Istanbul. Benefiting from the special quota reserved for top graduates, she enrolled in the Istanbul University School of Press and Broadcasting, Department of Journalism and Public Relations, and graduated in 1989.
She completed her internship at İmaj Public Relations under the supervision of Ms. Betül Mardin, thus entering the sector. In 1992, she founded Camdanev Public Relations, through which she provided services to numerous public and private institutions both in Turkey and abroad until 2008.
