Yedir App is a mobile application that connects home chefs who want to earn extra income by cooking at home with their customers. It is an impact-driven venture that enables women who were previously not part of the economy to become micro-entrepreneurs. At the same time, it serves as a gastronomy club where professional chefs, graduated from prestigious culinary schools, offer personalized services to their clients. Yedir App is a gastronomic ecosystem that extends from local producers to the end consumer.
Esra Sarıhan graduated in Industrial Engineering from İzmir University of Economics in 2010. After 5 years in her family’s heating and cooling business, she co-founded baskasindarama.com, winning 4 Stevie Awards and recognition from Startup Turkey. She earned the Bloomberg Marketing Concepts (BMC) certification and completed a Master’s in Financial Economics in 2017. Since 2019, she writes on entrepreneurship and art for The Magger, and from 2024, she is co-founder of Yedir App. She mentors and teaches entrepreneurship, judges competitions, and gives talks at universities and institutions.
Melis is an Electronics and Communication Engineering graduate from İzmir University of Economics with an MBA, passionate about merging technology and entrepreneurship. She co-founded Baskasindarama.com, earning 3 Bronze and 1 Gold Stevie Awards for e-commerce innovation. She also developed Yedir App, connecting home cooks and consumers, recognized by İzmir University of Economics and Turkey’s Technology Development Zone. Melis writes gastronomy articles for The Magger and Sofra Magazine and leads initiatives blending innovation, community impact, and brand excellence.
Doç. Dr. Kaya Oğuz is an expert in artificial intelligence, data science, and game development within computer engineering. He holds an MSc in Computer Games Technology from the University of Abertay Dundee and a PhD from Ege University. Kaya has led major projects in AI and game development and is responsible for software development at Yedir App. He began his academic career at İzmir University of Economics in 2017, became Head of Computer Engineering in 2019, and earned the title of Associate Professor in 2022. He recently joined Canadian University Dubai as an Associate Professor.
